In short
A part-time CMO is a chief marketing officer engaged for a set number of days per week or month. You get full seniority and full accountability for the marketing number, at a fraction of the cost and commitment of a permanent hire.
Two days of a chief beats five days of a manager
Most marketing problems are decision problems, not capacity problems. Which segment, which price, which channel, which hire, which thing to stop. Those decisions take judgement and a few hours a week, not a full-time seat. Capacity, when you need it, is cheaper to buy elsewhere.
As CMO of LeoVegas we ran a EUR 120M marketing budget and a team of 100+, delivered around EUR 50M of incremental revenue and lifted EBITA by 18 points, work that fed an exit to MGM north of EUR 607M. As managing director of the Italian market we took revenue from EUR 3M to EUR 18M in under a year.
What the days are spent on
- Owning the plan, the budget split and the revenue contribution target.
- Running the marketing leadership rhythm: weekly numbers, monthly review, quarterly reset.
- Managing agencies, freelancers and the internal team against clear outcomes.
- Sitting in the leadership team and defending marketing with numbers.
- Hiring and coaching your future permanent leader when the time comes.
Time commitments we work with
Two days a week is the usual shape for a company between EUR 5M and EUR 50M in revenue. One day a week works for a steady function that needs oversight and course correction. Three or more suits a turnaround, a launch or an international entry where the pace is high and the decisions are constant.
We commit to fixed days so you can plan around them, and we are reachable between them. Engagements typically run six to twelve months.

Frequently asked questions
How many days a week does a part-time CMO work?
Usually two to three. One day suits oversight of a stable function, three or more suits a turnaround or a market launch.
Will a part-time CMO be available when something urgent happens?
Yes. The days are fixed for the deep work, but we are contactable in between. Nothing waits a week because it landed on a Thursday.
Can a part-time CMO manage our internal team?
Yes. We line manage marketers, set their objectives and run their reviews exactly as a permanent chief would, and we say plainly when the team is wrong for the plan.
What happens when we are ready for a full-time CMO?
We write the brief, sit on the interview panel and hand over a working function with a plan, a rhythm and clean numbers. That handover is part of the mandate, not an extra.
